At the Service Delivery and Operations branch, we are the face of DIA. Whether we're helping to register births, deaths, marriages or charities, or assisting in passport applications, community grants or civil union and name change registrations, we're dedicated to serving the needs of New Zealanders.
As part of Kaupapa Whakahaere – the Operational Policy Team – the Senior Advisor Operational Privacy will help imbed privacy into our products and services, and build a privacy-aware culture across Service Delivery and Operations.
The ideal candidates will have:
practice:
   » Providing operational advice to meet business and customerneeds.
   » Delivering business improvement and change initiatives in complex business environments.
   » Applying complex legislative frameworks within a service delivery context.
Knowledge:
   » Strong knowledge of Privacy legislation and its application in product and service delivery.
   » Strong knowledge and sound knowledge of the machinery of government and of regulatory and compliance functions andpurpose.
expertise:
   » capability to think beyond immediate issues, to consider the long-term and broader implications, and clearly identify what needs to bedone.
   » Can communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences using a variety of methods, written, oral and throughpresentations.
   » capability to work across many stakeholders on the development of process design and improvement to achieve high quality and fit for purposesolutions.
   » capability to identify risks and effective mitigation and consistently use sound judgement on complex and critical issues.
   » Excellent relationship management and influencing expertise and the capability to work at all levels of organisations and with key externalstakeholders.
   » The capability to engage with specific needs of M?ori and to uphold the Te Aka Taiwhenua.
   » A tertiary qualification isdesirable.
