Check out this great little opportunity, working with a small, well established, IANZ Accredited, Environmental Water Testing Laboratory based just out of Te Awamutu.
As Field Technician , you will be responsible for collecting water samples from a wide variety of locations around the Waikato region. These may include water and sewerage treatment plants, large industrial sites, private agricultural clients and educational institutes. If you enjoy working in all weathers, having your office in the back of your Ute and donning gumboots as and when required, then this is the perfect role for you.
Being a small business, there is some flexibility in hours but these are likely to be between 35 and 40 hours a week. Given the wide range of clients serviced and the distance covered, it is vital that the successful candidate is a competent and fully licensed driver and enjoys being out and about in the beautiful Waikato for most of their working day.

Responsibilities will include:
   » The collection of water samples from a wide range of locations around the Waikato
   » Accurate Recording of data on field sample collection sheets and retesting where necessary
   » Accurate logging of site contact points and correction if inaccurate
   » Ensuring that the customer's needs (including health and safety requirements) are given priority at all times.
   » Calibration and re-calibration of testing equipment used including pH and other meters
   » Maintaining accurate company records and following laboratory procedures
   » Reporting Faulty equipment and completing fault procedures
Requirements:
   » High levels of personal responsibility and the ability to work unsupervised
   » Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team
   » Legible handwriting and attention to detail
   » Excellent customer service skills and the ability to think outside the box
   » Full Driver's License required
