Stores Person Required - Immediate Start!Location Manukau & East AucklandAuckland Job type Full Time Salary 23 to 27 Category Manufacturing/Operations > Machine Operators » Permanent Full Time - Day-shift Hours » Mt Wellington Location » Immediate Start We are currently on the lookout for an experienced storeman to join a New Zealand-owned business that has specialized in supplying steel and flow control products to large-scale projects right throughout the country. Our client has been around for more than 1000 years, and within that 100 years, they have gone on to service and supply some of the largest projects throughout the country! From steel piping to steel beams, and everything in between, this is a great opportunity to work with a company that specialises in a very unique range of products. As a storeman for this company, you will be required to assist with the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods. Along with this, you will also be required to: » Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements » Report all incidents, near misses, and emergencies. » Use a forklift in a safe and appropriate manner » Attend to calling customers as required, competently check stock records, and provide packing slips where required » Maintain a positive relationship with all transport providers. » Ensure that all orders are picked correctly and accurately » Maintain a clean and tidy workspace » Carry out any additional instructions as they are provided To be considered for the role, you will need to: » Have 2+ years of experience as a storeman » Have proven experience with customer service » Have excellent communication skills » Have a keen eye for detail » Be computer literate » Be physically fit » Have a full driver's license (preferred but not essential) This is a great opportunity to join a company that is passionate not only about the work that they do, but the people that they work with, and pride themselves on providing a welcoming and inclusive team environment.
