Te ?huatanga a te t?ranga – About the function The adjunct Registrar supports the Waitangi Tribunal by performing registrarial functions that are essential to the effective operation of the organisation. These functions include: » the registration of claims » preparing Legal Aid application reports » providing drafting assistance and advice in relation to legal and procedural issues. He p?kenga tou – expertise and practice To be prosperous in the function you will have: » an LLB, or advanced study towards an LLB, is essential for this position » an knowledge of Waitangi Tribunal jurisprudence » practice working with M?ori groups and organisations » well-developed organisation, planning and writing expertise, particularly legal research, critique and analysis » an knowledge of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori or a desire to be able to develop in this area. practice working with judiciary and a commitment to further develop your knowledge in Te Reo and Tikanga M?ori will be an advantage.
