adjunct Registrar –Waitangi Tribunal Unit
The Waitangi Tribunal is a permanent commission of inquiry charged with making recommendations on claims brought by M?ori relating to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Information technology holds a unique place in the New Zealand constitutional framework.
Te ?huatanga a te t?ranga – About the function
The adjunct Registrar supports the Waitangi Tribunal by performing registrarial functions that are essential to the effective operation of the organisation.
These functions include:
   » the registration of claims
   » preparing Legal Aid application reports
   » providing drafting assistance and advice in relation to legal and procedural issues.

To be prosperous in the function you will have:
   » an LLB, or advanced study towards an LLB, is essential for this position
   » an knowledge of Waitangi Tribunal jurisprudence
   » practice working with M?ori groups and organisations
   » well-developed organisation, planning and writing expertise, particularly legal research, critique and analysis
   » an knowledge of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori or a desire to be able to develop in this area.
practice working with judiciary and a commitment to further develop your knowledge in Te Reo and Tikanga M?ori will be an advantage.

income range
The appointing income for this function will be between $54,689 and $71,417 located on expertise and practice.
