About this function

Workwise employment consultants/kairapu t?ranga mahi have a really unique job. They work with people/t?ngata whai mahi who are facing personal or health challenges and help them to find and keep work. You will work closely with people accessing community mental health and addictions support, social services, government agencies, training providers and employers. So you'll be working withpeople and their wh?nau, who have a range of backgrounds, cultures and practices.
This is a permanent function working Monday – Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm with some flexibility, 40 hours per week, located in New Plymouth.
About you
We're looking for someone who can easily engage and support people to connect with employers, wh?nau, and health and welfare providers so you’ll have brilliant people expertise. Our employment consultants work alongside people and their wh?nau from a range of backgrounds, cultures and practices, so cultural competence is essential in this function. Lived practice is also valued.
You’ll also
   » Hold the NZ Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you can commence free study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Workwise. We offer significant support to complete this study, please feel free to contact us to discuss.
   » Hold a full NZ driver licence
   » Love being part of a team but can confidently work independently
   » Have practice working in the social service, addiction, youth, mental health, discapability, employment, career development or other sectors that focus on improving people's lives.
