He angit?tanga: About the function
Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, you will lead and deliver strategic communications and engagement for the Jobs for Nature unit. Jobs for Nature is a complex programme established to help revitalise communities through nature-located employment and stimulate the economy post COVID-19. The multimillion programme connects multiple government agencies to deliver this awesome initiative.
The function includes communications planning, coordination, collaboration and the writing and dissemination of collateral to promote Jobs for Nature and support the prosperous delivery of the programme. You will play a proactive leadership abilities function to the other delivery agencies and the Jobs for Nature secretariat.
This a full time (40 hours) and 12 months fixed term opportunity.

We are seeking for an practiced and highly skilled senior communications and engagement advisor/practitioner to support the Department of Conservation’s Jobs for Nature programme. You will need to understand and be able to translate complex policy and funding streams information into plain English which informs and engages multiple audiences and stakeholders.
To be prosperous in this function, you will have the following skills and Special Skills:
   » broad practice leading strategic communications for a large, multi-agency programme
   » Formal communications, media, public relations or marketing qualification
   » Creative practice telling stories using a range of internal and external communications channels, as well as meet the challenge of communicating across a diverse and distributed organisation
   » practice in developing and implementing effective systems to manage critical communications issues and risk
   » Strategic thinker, thought leader and an capability to influence at all levels
   » Able to quickly understand multiple issues, manage conflicting priorities and operate to a high standard
   » Excellentcommunicator and collaborator with both internal an external stakeholders
   » An capability to develop and map a strong pipeline process for individual project opportunities.
