We contract staff on various different orchards around the Poverty Bay area. We have at least 8 - 12 positions available for apple thinners starting from 14-11-2022 Previous practice would be an advantage; however, training will be provided. You must be physically fit and healthy as this job required climbing up and down on 8ft ladder. prosperous candidates will need to be honest, hardworking, and reliable; physically fit and healthy and willing to be hands on and be able to work as a team or independently unsupervised. Own reliable transport would be good but not necessary. We may arrange transport. Prepared to stay in Gisborne for at least 3 - 4 weeks , and there be a possibility of further work for the right people . candidates for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ working holiday or open work visa. Starting rate will be $23.50 plus 8% holiday pay (Total $25.38) with the potential to gain bonus rate up to $30* per hour plus 8% holiday pay depending on work performance and relicapability . The job will be an average 30 - 45 hours a week, Monday-Saturday, weather and crop permitting.
