Senior Advisor Emergency Management, Auckland

A unique opportunity exists to support MSD's Emergency Management and Business Continuity Group (EMBCG) as a Senior Advisor Emergency Management.
located in our Auckland Regional Office, the Senior Advisor Emergency Management reports to the Director EMBCG.
You have the opportunity to use your drive, communication expertise and relationship management to help strengthen the Ministry's emergency management and business continuity arrangements.
As a key component of this function you will help lead and implement MSD's catastrophic planning, including default leadership abilities arrangements and planning. You will be involved in supporting capcapability uplift, building plans and collaborating with those in key functions. Through a programme of training, education and consciousness, you will help apply best practice principles in the application of business continuity and emergency management functions.
In an emergency you will be responsible for supporting Regional Commissioners and National Managers across NZ, through undertaking a range of response activities leading to individuals, families and communities having easy access to the full range of services and support available to them.
Ideally you will have practice and knowledge of emergency management frameworks and systems.
However more importantly, We are seeking for someone who:
• Has the drive and wants to succeed

• The capability to turn strategic thinking into operational practice
• Excellent communication expertise (oral and in writing)
