Our mission is to develop innovative, ecologically-oriented programmes in Architecture, Built Environment Engineering, Construction, Emerging Technologies, Ecological Urbanism, and Project Management – and the transdisciplinary connections across those fields. The School is strongly committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and M?tauranga M?ori. We invite applications from academics and practitioners in Architecture and related disciplines who have the ambition, courage, and skills to bring about a paradigm shift in the way we conceive, design, and construct the environments in which we collectively live, work and play. As Aotearoa New Zealand’s only university of technology, we are particularly keen to hear from people who can create exceptional collaborative student-centred learning practices in w?nanga, design studios or project-centred environments. prosperous candidates will have skills in one or more of the following areas: Architectural Design and EmergingTechnologies » We are particularly interested in theoretical and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence, deep learning, eco-tectonics, regenerative design, zero-carbon futures, and data-informed approaches to architectural/environmental design. Professional Futures » Strategic design, systems thinking, social and technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and new business models for architectural, ecological and cultural practices in the 21st Century. candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in Architecture or a significant discipline. While there will be an expectation to teach in our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Architecture, we are also very keen to hear from people who can advance research and practice across the wider School. Appointments will be made at a level appropriate to qualifications and practice and can commence at a mutually agreeable date.
