About this function We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to contribute to a multi-year programme with the Tertiary Education Commission. There is currently no single, free, consistent, accessible, high quality tool for learners and workers to use all over their lifetime, to plan and manage their career. This programme will make career decisions easy by helping New Zealanders explore and understand their potential future, have the confidence to take action and build resilience in the changing world of work. In this function you'll: » deliver complex and challenging projects from concept to delivery. » be a crucial member of our project team, ensuring we deliver excellent work through communication, collaboration, and design skills. » use your curiosity, passion and initiative approach to work closely with our client to understand their business needs and the needs of their customers/users. Then use this information to lead project design and user practice. » use your highly proficient expertise of Figma to develop and maintain detailed large scale design systems. » work closely with the design team, managers and leads to create consistently high quality outputs including: visual design, interaction design and design systems. » work with a focus on design thinking, human centred design, information architecture, uscapability and accessibility. » use strong facilitation and communication skills, work closely with the client and the team to interpret a set of requirements provided by the client. Identify and discuss any gaps that may cover data, content or technical requirements. » use your skills and strategic thinking to confidently communicate UX/UI design concepts and to our client and project team. » produce high quality user interfaces and visual designs, either on your own or in collaboration with other members of the design team. » use your highly collaborative approach to work with research, design, content, data and development teams to deliver results with a high level of design refinement. » comfortably work within Agile methodologies.
