We invite you to play a key function in the Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE).
The CoVE has been set up by the industry-led Food & Fibre CoVE Society Incorporated and is a key innovation in the Government's Reform of Vocational Education. The CoVE's intention is to build excellence by focusing on the success of learners, industry, and education; learner-focussed, industry-led, government-enabled.
The Food and Fibre CoVE has two, five year fixed term positions available for practiced portfolio managers with proven practice as influencers and communicators with stakeholders at all levels.
The Portfolio Managers will have a key function in the CoVE with the opportunity to make a real difference for Aotearoa New Zealand's agriculture, food and fibre sector.
These functions are both located at EIT's Taradale Campus in Napier, in the heart of the beautiful Hawke's Bay, sometimes referred to as the Tuscany of the South Pacific.
The Portfolio Managers are leadership abilities functions, having collective responsibility for ensuring the success of an continuing programme of work that will deliver the results required to achieve the CoVE's strategic plan.
Reporting to the CoVE General Manager, the Portfolio Managers are a part of a small team that will build and share excellence in food and fibre vocational education and training, by focusing on the success of learners/employees, employers, M?ori, industry and education.
Working as a self-directed team, the Portfolio Managers will be responsible for the Portfolio Management Office that will manage, facilitate and broker the CoVE's project, research and innovation objectives.
Strong relationship management expertise are essential, as considerable interaction will be needed to support projects, particularly in their development phases.
