Dairy Farm adjunct:Job description:Dairy Farm adjunctPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($24.50)Job location: Hinds, Canterbury Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 28/08/2022 We are seeking for a motivated Dairy Farm adjunct to join a large team to work on an 1800 cow, 440ha farm about 8km west of Hinds, Mid Canterbury. The farm is operated as two separate units each milking 925 cows through two 54 bale rotary dairy sheds, each on a 220ha milking platform. The function will include working independently and working as part of a team. An 8/3-8/2 roster will be operated all over the season except calving, during which we run 7/2. Average hours will be 40-45 per week but will likely be 50-60 per week over the calving period. A minimum of a restricted drivers licence is required and a valid work visa is required. The ideal applicant will have some dairy farming practice, either in New Zealand or overseas, but for the right applicant we would consider Somebody with no practice. A fully furnished one-bedroom unit is provided, with rental being $150 per week. Electricity and endlessbroadband are included in the rental. Skills:
