The Team:What we do
Our South Community Mental Health Team provides treatment for people aged 18-65 years who suffer from a wide variety of mental disorders. We're looking for an practiced New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist to join us as a Case Manager in this permanent full-time position in our South Team. Enjoy providing assessment and treatment interventions to our clients of the Adult Community Mental Health Service! an interdisciplinary team working with clients in the community with a goal of promoting patient independence.
We have a permanent full time opportunity working 40 hours per week (1.0FTE) for an NZ Registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate to join our South Community Service Team!
We operate a Monday - Friday service. The days and hours of this function are to be negotiated with the prosperous candidate, and to meet the needs of the service.
The function:Where you fit in
In this function, you will be responsible for:
   » Assessing, planning and implementing care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team colleagues.
Your skills will include:
   » practice in Case Management in Mental Health in highly desirable;
   » The capability to triage and prioritize your patients appropriately in a timely manner is essential;
   » Ideally you will be a Duly Authorised agent who has been trained and signed off as being able facilitate the MHA, or, be willing to undertake this paid four-day DAO training as provided by the Canterbury DHB;
   » A minimum of 1 year practice in a mental health setting is preferable;
   » New Zealand Registration as an Allied Health Professional with Annual Practicing certificate is essential
