Offer: Pathway Teacher – Diploma Arts:UniofOtagoJob description:Job DescriptionUNIVERSITY of OTAGO PATHWAYS – TE HUARAHI» income –$66,492 to $92,688 per annum About our team – M? te t?ma The University of Otago Pathway provides academic knowledge and an entry qualification to enable admission to a New Zealand university for domestic and international students. We are currently offering the Foundation Studies Certificate and are in the process of introducing two new NZQF Level 5 diplomas: a Diploma in Commerce and a Diploma in Arts. We are also involved in several exciting overseas initiatives. We are currently teaching our programme to students from a Thai university (RMUTT) and are also planning collaborating for delivery into China and Vietnam. The function – Te mahi As a Teacher – Pathway, Diploma in Arts you will: » Teach NZQF level 5 Diploma in Arts papers. » Coordinate papers, which includes: – Regularly updating curriculum content, methods of delivery and assessment. – Coordinating preparation of student workbooks. – Coordinating assessment tasks and entering marks into the database. – Writing final examination papers. – Coordinating the marking process. – Reviewing the paper and making changes as appropriate. – Preparing the final exam report for the Pathway Assessment Manager. » Work well with M?ori students and staff at all levels of the institution. » Demonstrate knowledge, knowledge and sensitivity of M?ori cultural issues. » Work effectively as a member of a team and independently. » Maintain a professional approach with both staff and students while under pressure. » Be committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi), the University’s M?ori Strategic Framework and Pacific Strategic Framework and to equal opportunity. » Have the flexibility to work outside normal hours, if required. expertise and practice – K? p?keka me k? wheako » Teaching Qualification and/or practice. » practice preparing class work and delivering lessons. » practice working with international students is preferred. » Commitment to upholding values, tikanga, kawa and traditions as guided by Ng?i Tahu, who hold mana whenua in the region.
