Offer: Resource Worker:HainesAttractJob description:Job DescriptionAre you passionate and committed to providing support to New Zealand’s tamariki and rangatahi to reach their best potential?We are currently seeking a Resource Worker to work in partnership with a Social Worker and manager Social Worker to provide support and services to a remote community near Greymouth. The purpose of this function is to build safety within the community and to further build relationships with Oranga Tamariki. Mo te tunga – About the function In this function you will be assisting our Social Workers on a case-by-case basis and working one on one with our tamariki and rangatahi to help them achieve specific goals. You will be mentoring and walking alongside our tamariki and rangatahi in supporting them to achieve their best potential. Along with this, you will motivate and provide care for our tamariki and rangatahi in times of crisis. Te kaupapa o te mahi – Purpose of the function » To work with and support the Social Workers and manager Social Worker by carrying out tasks as directed » To have a direct and significant relationship with tamariki and rangatahi » To promote the personal, educational, creative and social development of tamariki and rangatahi, helping them reach their full potential Nga pumanawatanga ou – What you will bring » You will need to have practice in working with disaffected, disengaged and/or challenging tamariki and rangatahi and their whanau » You will need to have great engagement expertise » You will have the capability to overcome barriers to engagement » You will be comfortable working in difficult and challenging environment » Proven administrative practice is advantageous » Given the challenges of this work, this is not a 9 – 5 function.
