Offer: Kaitaataki – Service Co-ordinator:Big Splash NZJob description:Job DescriptionHaere mai, nau mai, piki mai, ng? waka, ng? mana, ng? reo, nau mai!FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION If you want to make a positive difference by supporting people with intellectual impairments to have more choice and control over their own lives – then this could be the function for you. this function of Kaitaataki (Service Coordinator) is responsible for managing a group of secure and residential whare (homes). You will provide leadership abilities and coaching to whare staff. You will foster a strengths located and positive behaviour support approach within all whare that you manage. You will also need to ensure that whare operates in compliance with budget, quality, safety and legislative standards so that the tangata thrive in a safe and happy environment. Our ideal candidate will have: » A commitment to a tikanga Maori approach to work » expertise of te reo Maori would also be an advantage » Superior expertise in written communication » Degree level qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or significant Diploma » Previous practice in working in the discapability, health and/or corrections sector » Minimum three years’ practice in leading and managing staff » Excellent communication and relationship expertise » Commitment to on-call roster » A team player with strong organisation and time management expertise Please note that a pre-employment drug test will be conducted for the prosperous applicant.
