We have a great opportunity for a Kait?hono M?ori to join our team at Te Hononga Akoranga COMET. This is a new function, working alongside our Kaihaut? M?ori and our team of passionate professionals. We are a Council Controlled Organisation of Auckland Council, and a Charitable Trust working with the education sector and others to change the education and expertise system, creating equitable learning pathways for all. You are passionate about improving the lives of M?ori in T?maki Makaurau through the power of education and are ready to drive systems change to benefit M?ori learners and their wh?nau. You have practice building significant relationships with iwi, M?ori organisations, schools, and other community groups to lead and advocate for change that supports the aspirations of our M?ori communities. You are a keen collaborator, excited to network and champion projects that make a difference, and willing to think outside the square. Information technology sounds like you are the perfect person for our team! You will have: » practice in any field of general education (early learning, schooling, tertiary, community, second-chance) » Credible connections with iwi, educators, and M?ori organisations » Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and educational equity » knowledge of tikanga M?ori, and ideally fluency in Te Reo M?ori » prosperous track record in planning and leading action towards positive change » Some practice with supporting educational projects COMET celebrates diversity in all its forms and is an equal opportunity employer.
