We’re looking forward to a busy summer and sharing our extraordinary food and award-winning wines with guests returning from all over New Zealand and the world. Do you love wine as much as we do? We’re looking for an practiced and passionate Cellar Door host to join the Saint Clair team. You’ll be reporting to our Restaurant Manager, working across both Cellar door and restaurant, and helping to provide the best possible practice for our customers. The function is Full-time Fixed term, starting from early November until at least the end of April 2023. Would suit a 6 month working holiday Visa. You’ll need to be available to work 5 days/week, including weekends and some public holidays. Hours of work are typically 11 am-5pm, may be earlier depending on Cruise ship days and days off work for other cellar door host. 30-35 hours per week. Our Cellar Door host tasks include - · Providing a hosted wine tastings for customers · Presenting wine tastings for larger groups · Delivering a positive Saint Clair tasting practice for all customers · Processing sales through the wine tasting counter · Packing customer wine orders for shipping domestically/internationally · Ensuring correct stock procedures are followed · Putting away wine allocation orders · Assisting the team with front of house service in the restaurant What we’re offering · A fun and friendly small team environment · Social hours – No night shifts Nov - March · Competitive pay rates, located on practice · Wine plus other staff benefits, including discounts, access to EAP Services (Employee Assistance Programme) and more Please email us your C.V and tell us your favourite wine and what makes the perfect wine tasting practice. candidates for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
