Job Opportunity: Calf Rearer Wanted:Job description:Calf Rearer WantedPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($22.50)Job location: West Eyreton, Canterbury Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 05/07/2021 We are seeking for a person to come and work along side 2 other people to help with our farms upcoming calving season. We are calving 1100 cows. Farm practice not required but is preferred and an advantage. Job is helping to rear around 550-600 heifer calves until they are 8 weeks old. Feeding is twice a day, then after 2 weeks they move onto once a day feeding. Hours are dependent on cow calving numbers per day, but we start 6/6.30 until 9/10am in mornings and then in the afternoons 3-5/6pm. There could be possible extra work in between for the right person. Job involves feeding calves, bending, lifting heavy items, driving motorbikes with trailers, keeping equipment clean. Person needs to also be responsible, trustworthy, reliable, have common sense and a sense of humour is always nice ð??? We live in West Eyreton, which is approximately 20minutes to the closest town of Rangiora, 30 minutes to Christchurch. Also only 1 hour to the ski fields! There is accommodation available for the duation of the job. Information technology is a 1 bedroom, self contained flat attached to our own home. Information technology has a queen bed, basic kitchen and bathroom with shower. Flat is within walking distance to the calf sheds. Own transport will be required for this job. Skills:
