Te t?ranga - The function
The Global Citizens Manager plays a key function in the Sector Services team and is responsible for delivering Hono-ki-te-Ao, ENZ’s Global Citizenship roadmap. this function provides leadership abilities, strategic advice and subject-matter skills in kaupapa-M?ori to inform our Global Citizenship mahi.
The function will lead a team and manage the operational delivery of the Prime Minister’s scholarship to Asia and Latin America (PMSA/PMSLA) as well as other ENZ scholarships and supervises the provision of insights to inform programme investment and development. Information technology will support the organisation to partner with iwi, hap?, M?ori and M?ori providers of education services to ensure that learners who participate in ENZ managed scholarships develop knowledge, skills and knowledge to become active global citizens, grounded in Aotearoa New Zealand’s bicultural context and acknowledging Te Tiriti commitments.
You’ll be a high performing leader with practice in delivering programmes to a high standard. Self-managing, with strong networks and practice in global citizenship, you’ll have the mindset to apply both innovation and continuous improvement to processes and policies. From designing and facilitating programmes to develop tribally and globally engaged learners, to driving a coordinated approach to government funded scholarships in New Zealand, you will enjoy the fast-paced nature of this function.

To be prosperous in this function you will have:
   » Minimum of five years people management practice leading a team
   » Proven relationship building and management skills with proficiency in cultural protocols
   » Demonstrated operational management practice, with a good knowledge of operational delivery functions
   » Proven risk management and effective escalation processes
   » A strong focus on equitable results
M?hou ake - About you
We are seeking for Somebody with:
   » Demonstrated knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga and te ao M?ori
   » Strong connections within Te Ao Ma?ori and a well-established network
   » Proven capability to work effectively in a complex and wide-ranging stakeholder environment
   » Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
You will have the opportunity to:
   » Present PMSA/PMSLA to the world in a way that acknowledges the importance of Te Tiriti and a M?ori world view
   » Develop effective and sustainable working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the international education eco-system including hap?, iwi and M?ori providers of education and M?ori organisations.
   » Partner with M?ori to ensure that international education delivers with and for M?ori in the global citizenship space.
   » Support education in te ao M?ori, tikanga, and te reo M?ori and ensure that tikanga and te reo M?ori are developed and monitored within the scholarships team.
