About the opportunity

In this key leadership abilities function, you'll lead, motivate, and engage the Takanini site team to enhance our operations and deliver sustainable performance.
The site has three manufacturing plants - Beverages, Food and UHT, produces around 240,00 MT of product and has an annual Opex spend of approximately 100Million. With your authentic nature and influencing capability you will be able to bring your team along on a prosperous journey in creating an outstanding culture around food, people and safety, whilst increasing relicapability and efficiency. You will optimise our site assets, revenue and people providing a 3-5 year view of fulfilling product mix complexity and customer requirements.

In this lean operation, you will supervise site operations, with a total of 6 direct/360 indirect reports and shared functional support with our centralized operations.

The key responsibilities of the function:
   » Lead and develop continuous improvement capcapability within the site by function modelling leadership abilities consistent with world class manufacturing best practices
   » Drive value for the business through effective plant management and world class food manufacture of Beverages, Foods and UHT products
   » Accountcapability for sustainable financial, environmental, and capital management performance driven by long term strategic business and capital plans for the site.
   » Provide ?hands-on? leadership abilities, mentoring and coaching of direct reports and wider teams in order to foster operational excellence and a learning environment.
   » Creating a proactive health & safety culture that helps to ensure a safe workplace that meets all compliance requirements as a minimum standard.

About You

Reporting to the Director of Operations and Supply Chain, you will play a critical function in leading your team in the site's business plan and driving the plant, site performance and strategy forward. You'll take the lead to reduce operational risk and sustain and grow the sites current engagement and culture, whilst growing your people's capcapability and talent.

Other key requirements include:
   » capability to build strategic relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
   » Significant people management practice including building, coaching developing and mentoring teams
   » Exemplary leadership abilities capcapability enhanced by strong engagement and influencing expertise
   » Strong business acumen and practice in continuous improvement
   » capability to apply end to end strategic thinking and planning to execute priorities.
   » A background and leadership abilities practice in food processing, dairy or connected manufacturing environments, ideally a site management, plant management or operations management background.
   » Preferably possess a degree in significant fields
