We are seeking for Dairy Processing Apprentices across multiple sites in the Waikato, Northland, Taranaki and South Island regions. You'll be able to choose one or multiple sites you want to be considered for when you apply!

The Opportunity

You'll lgain from our technical mentors and be heavily involved in the large-scale production of dairy products that are exported to the rest of the world. Giving you a much bigger scope to other career opportunities further on down the track.

As a Dairy Processing Apprentice at our sites you’ll be using innovative technology, working with our team of highly trained experts who are passionate about the work they do that has a global impact.

On site you'll be working Monday to Friday initially and will gradually move into our shift pattern. The theory-located work covering a variety of topics from cow to customer will be spread across the duration of your apprenticeship so that Information technology aligns to the practical work you'll be involved in.

What you'll bring and develop

Dairy processing has always been a unique space and with that in mind, the expertise or passion we’re looking for in someone can vary widely. You could have a love of food science or enjoy exploring the technical side of our processing equipment. If you’re looking for something outside of the ordinary this could be it!

Work-practice, voluntary practice and involvement in any other extra-curricular activities will be a big advantage when you apply those learnings to your apprenticeship.

Other key expertise and practice include:
   » Achieved or in the process of attaining minimum of NCEA Level 2 Maths
   » Enjoys problem solving, a quick learner who adapts to change easily
   » Confident with emerging technology and a strong mechanical aptitude
   » A minimum learners driver’s license with eligibility to secure your restricted before you start
   » capability to use computer systems confidently
