This enterprise level company is now on the lookout for a DevOps Practice Lead to come on board and head up a DevOps team of engineers and further help develop the technical capabilities of the business. The function As the DevOps Practice Lead, you’ll head up a team of engineers (8 x permanent as well as more with vendors) to establish and deliver DevOps practices and a wide variety of infrastructure and toolings to support the business’s engineering teams. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you’ll work with senior managers and stakeholders across the technology teams to provide and produce the vision for DevOps and Release Management practices and carryout technical leadership abilities to define enterprise delivery patterns. You will strive to provide the engineering teams with highly performant, state-of-the-art Cloud and On-prem solutions, build systems and test automation infrastructure. This is a varied function in which you’ll combine strategic work with short term tactical fixes, contribute to design meetings and extend the CI/CD capabilities. Requirements: » You'll bring significant skills in DevOps/SRE practices » leadership abilities practice (line management and/or personal development of team members), in or out of a DevOps setting. » Strong practice of on/off-prem cloud solutions » Strong grasp of container technologies & automation tooling » practice with data management skills » Any practice with Java would be ideal but not essential » practice working in a large enterprise environment - banks, insurance, GOV, telco etc. » Must be open to mentoring and up-skilling other team members » Strong communication and interpersonal skills What are the benefits?
