Offer: Potato Harvest Staff:Job description:Potato Harvest StaffPayment: Paid Position ($20 + 8% holiday pay)Job location: Rakaia Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 12/02/2021 We are seeking for 4 keen friendly team members with a good sense of humour to join our small team for our upcoming potato harvest. The jobs involve working on our potato harvester out in the fields grading potatoes as they are dug. Information technology is not a physically demanding job however sometimes Information technology will be hot, sometimes Information technology will be cold, sometimes Information technology will be dusty and most days Information technology will be all 3 so you need to be prepared! We start work at 7am so you need to be able to get out of bed on time! We usually work until 5-6pm Monday to Friday, Saturday until 3-4pm. Transport from our yard to and from the potato fields will be provided. On wet days when we are not harvesting, we will be working in the packhouse packing potatoes and repairing wooden bins. Harvest goes from 1st March - 31st May and we would ideally like the same team for this term. Please don’t apply if you are only looking for a few weeks work! We pay $1/Hr more than the minimum wage plus 8% holiday pay fortnightly. We don’t have accommodation on site but there is a range of options in walking distance of our yard in Rakaia including campgrounds, sleepouts and rooms in houses. Skills:
