Qualifications and Skills:
   » Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, GIS, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
   » Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools (e.g., ENVI, ERDAS Imagine).
   » Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualize geospatial data effectively.
   » Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques, cartography principles, and geodatabase management.
   » Familiarity with programming languages (Python, R) for geospatial data manipulation and analysis is a plus.
   » Excellent communication skills to convey complex geospatial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   » Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
   » Experience with satellite imagery analysis, land cover classification, and change detection is advantageous.
   » Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Processing:
   » Collect, compile, and verify geospatial data from various sources such as satellite imagery, aerial photography, field surveys, and existing databases.
   » Apply data preprocessing techniques to clean, rectify, and enhance raw geospatial data for analysis.
Spatial Analysis:
   » Conduct spatial analysis to identify patterns, relationships, and trends within geospatial datasets.
   » Utilize GIS software and tools to perform spatial queries, buffer analyses, spatial interpolation, and other geospatial operations.
Data Interpretation and Visualization:
   » Analyze geospatial data to extract meaningful insights and communicate findings through maps, charts, and reports.
   » Create visually appealing and informative maps using GIS software, highlighting relevant information for different stakeholders.
Collaborative Projects:
   » Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including urban planners, environmental scientists, engineers, and policymakers, to provide geospatial insights for decision-making.
   » Assist in interdisciplinary projects by integrating geospatial information with other data sources to address complex challenges.
