Korero mo te turanga – About the function Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Reviews Advisor to join the Academic Office. The function is primarily responsible for managing and providing support for academic programme reviews and managing the university’s survey system used to obtain feedback on courses and teaching. The function will also undertake other work as needed that supports the Academic Office.
Key responsibilities include the following:
   » Manage the review schedules and to support review panels including drafting reports
   » Monitor the implementation of review policy and procedures in line with good practice
   » Overall management of the student feedback system
   » Provide support for academic grievances

You will enjoy working with different teams conducting reviews of academic programmes that generate large amounts of information. You will have solid practice in being able to synthesise this information into significant reports. You will thrive in this function by being patient and well organised, a good listener and communicator and have excellent expertise in dealing with people. You will be able to build and maintain positive working relationships and networks in the wider university environment and have excellent writing expertise.
Key requirements include the following:
   » Excellent time management expertise
   » practice in formal note-taking
   » Able to synthesise large amounts of information and write reports
   » practice with using reporting databases and digital communication tools e.g. Zoom
