Black Door Gallery is a contemporary art gallery specialised in New Zealand Art and Design. located in Parnell, we exhibit a beautiful and ever changing selection of paintings, sculpture, ceramics and glass. We are pursuing gallery adjuncts who are able to work two weekdays (Ideally Tuesday and Wednesday, but other days can be arranged) and the occasional Sunday. this function is offered as casual/ part-time employment, with an expectation of a minimum of 8-12days per month. The function will involve attending the gallery sole charge, art sales, art handling, consulting andcustomer service. Our Requirements: * As this position involvessome sole charge, previous retail or gallery practice is essential. *Exceptional customer service. *Preferably qualified or practiced in anarts arena e.g. Art History, Fine Art, Design, Visual Arts, Museums. *Excellent command of the English language. *Must be flexible, able to use their initiative & self-sufficient.
