As the NZDC enters its next decade, the Board is seeking to appoint an Artistic Director / Chief Executive (AD/CE). The AD/CE will be a confident and respected leader with entrepreneurial flair, vision, capcapability and proven practice to lead the Company. They will strategically lead the artistic, executive and commercial functions of the NZDC. The capability to demonstrate an knowledge of the importance of te reo and tikanga M?ori and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi will be essential. The AD/CE will have the proven capability to promote the Company's central function in developing works and programmes that speak to and reflect contemporary society in all its diversity and that are significant, compelling and financially sustainable. located in T?maki Makaurau Auckland, reporting to the Board within a dynamic, professional organisation, the AD/CE will lead a core group of full-time dancers and staff, along with contractors and part-time workers. The nature of the environment in whichNZDC exists demands a level of sophistication and excellence in all that we do. This is as true offstage as Information technology is on. Working collaboratively and forming effective partnerships is crucial for the AD/CE to inspire, influence and motivate stakeholders. The AD/CE will have proven practice in leading, promoting and maintaining an organisational culture that values and compensates high performance. Demonstrating strong professional and personal credibility, the AD/CE will bring excellent interpersonal, advocacy and influencing expertise. They will be able to build strong relationships internally and externally with government, funders, donors and in the broader community.
