What you will do The Exhibition Designer is responsible for leading their team in the creation of dynamic and unique displays and new exhibition initiatives, as well as supporting the development of an exhibition programme designed to enhance each visitors practice and honour the purpose and vision of the museum. What we need We are seeking for Somebody with considerable practice in an advanced exhibitions design function, preferably within a museum, gallery or similar area along with the following: » practice leading the continual renewal of the Museums public display spaces along with maintaining existing exhibitions and displays » practice in integrating new technologies, materials, trends and developments into exhibition and spatial results. » Proven advanced use of two and three dimensional design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and CAD. » practice in creating plans and detailed drawings for exhibitions, and an advanced knowledge of spatial design » An knowledge of museum principles, curatorial practices and preventive conservation issues. » Ideally you will have achieved a significant tertiary level qualification You will be a confident communicator and pro-active, self -starter with a passion, drive and immense commitment to creative practice and exhibitions, along with proven team leadership abilities practice managing motivating and empowering others.
