An exciting opportunity to lead the T?whiri Workshop, delivering set construction services to a range of national stage productions and events.
T?whiri is the creative force behind festivals and practices in Wellington including the biennial Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts, Wellington Jazz Festival, and Lexus Song Quest.
The T?whiri Workshop is a core pillar of T?whiri's operations, providing set construction services for national stage productions and events alongside those produced within T?whiri's programmes.
If you are looking for a theatre / events construction function with reasonable daytime working hours, flexibility, and the capability to use your leadership abilities expertise, we'd like to hear from you.
We're looking for an practiced person with carpentry expertise and the capability to manage a small team to join our team as Workshop manager / Scenic Carpenter. You'll be part of a great team of capable and skilled people - in our latest survey for employees and contractors 100% of respondents said they felt respected at work and 100% said they would recommend T?whiri as a place to work.
The purpose of this position is to lead the T?whiri workshop, superviseing onsite operations and managing the delivery of external and internal construction projects. The function aims to build on the success of the T?whiri Workshop by streamlining processing and contributing to long-term planning.
