Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent results for every child.
About the function
You will work closely with schools and other internal and external stakeholders and will support the current delivery team all over the project lifecycle.
Your key priorities will include:
   » Managing projects that are low in risk and complexity
   » Supporting Delivery Managers in the management of projects
   » Providing procurement and contract management support
   » Project reporting

About you
The ideal candidate for this function will be an organised and proactive self-starter with the capability to build relationships quickly.
Key success factors for this function are the following:
   » practice in effectively managing non-complex end to end construction projects to deliver prosperous programme and organisational results
   » The capacity to support the management of concurrent activities and/or working on multiple concurrent projects at different phases
   » Outstanding written and verbal communication expertise and strong computer expertise
   » Proven track record of strong customer focus and stakeholder relationship management
   » Confidence in being the point of contact between the Ministry and internal and external stakeholders
   » Strong administrative, planning and organising expertise; and
   » Employing a solutions located approach to problem solving
