The Health Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) is recruiting a Data Analyst to join the He Hoa Tiaki – Partners in Care team, the Commissions consumer and whanau engagement programme. You will also work closely with the Commissions Health Quality Intelligence team and be mentored and supported as an Analyst through this team.
The Partners in Care programme provides leadership abilities and direction to the Commissions consumer engagement-related strategies and activities. The programme ensures the Commission has established networks and processes to understand how the health system is working for consumers. The programme also provides leadership abilities and support to the health sector on ensuring that the perspectives of people who access our health system are reflected everywhere: In design, delivery and evaluation.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the complexities of measuring quality in health care, have strong analytical expertise and be comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data sets. An knowledge of what is important to consumers and whanau when engaging with health services will be key in this function.
The Commission has a strong focus on Maori health advancement and reducing inequity, and the prosperous candidate will contribute to these goals.
The Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a board responsible to the Minister of Health. The Commission is responsible for assisting providers, both private and public, across the whole health and discapability sector to improve service safety and quality and therefore results for all those who use these services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
