We are seeking for an SLT adjunct to join our exciting and dynamic arts organisation full time.
Q Theatre is a registered charity and an independent performing arts venue in the heart of T?maki Makaurau (Auckland, New Zealand).
We are a vibrant participant in the regional and national arts community, funded primarily by the presenting arts companies that utilise our spaces, but also by Auckland Council, private philanthropists, and various trusts and foundations. We are committed to creating a quality, sustainable home for the independent performing arts community that contributes to the fabric of Aotearoa's culture and is dedicated to nurturing our finest arts practitioners.
The core mission of Q is to reflect a broad range of creative ideas, stories, and cultural practices drawn from a rich mix of performing arts practices. We are committed to providing an enriching creative and hospitable environment for artists, producers, audiences, staff, and the wider community to enjoy, explore and connect with the professional performing arts of T?maki Makaurau, Aotearoa.

About the function:
You will be the glue that ensures Q's executive team is kept aware of matters that require its individual or collective attention. You will understand the need for timely and accurate information sharing, and you will value the opportunity to be exposed to the challenging range of issues that are encountered by Q's executive team and its Board.Because support for our Accounts staffis an important aspect of the function,you will be highly accurate and confident with financial data entry and you will have some exposure to financial and/or payroll systems.

The primary accountabilities of the function are:
   » Maintaining the efficient running of the CE's office and ensuring an organised day-to-day administrative environment.
   » Providing administrative support to the senior leadership abilities team of four.
   » Accurate input of financial data into our financial and payroll systems under the supervision of our Accounts adjunct.
   » Assisting our programming team where possible with their administrative needs.

About the workplace:
We have a friendly and flexible work environment in the CBD in an area that is exceptionally well served by public transport and other services. Our administrative home is located within our beautiful purpose-built theatre, newlyopened in 2011. You will become part of the performing arts world with us. The function is full-time, with some periods less busy and some more so. The function is a permanent appointment. We will negotiate remuneration with the prosperous candidate, but please bear in mind we are not a commercial organisation.
You will work alongside our executive management, and our diverse and talented team. You will have the usual outside contact with various suppliers, contractors and industry specialists.

The ideal candidate:
We anticipate that you will bring a background that includes exposure to financial data in addition to excellent organising expertise. You will, ideally, have had exposure to and understand how the industry works: this might have been gained in any sector of the industry such as the performing arts, entertainment, events, screen production, or creative arts of other kinds. You will possess excellent people expertise and a calm and positive disposition.
