Job Opportunity: Sweet Potato Harvesting - Sse Approved:Job description:Sweet Potato Harvesting - Sse ApprovedPayment: Paid Position ($20.40 per hour (this includes holiday pay))Job location: Dargaville Region: Northland & Bay of Islands practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 14/02/2021 We are seeking for at least 4 more people to assist us with harvesting sweet potato in Northland. The job involves working on a machine and taking product from one belt and placing Information technology on another. The job itself is somewhat easier than other forms of vegetable harvesting as Information technology is mechanically assisted. No practice necessary as full training will be provided. Work is avaliable from the 1st of March and continues until May. We endeavour to work 5 plus days a week. Preference will be given to those who can commit to the full harvest period. You will need a current visa, IRD number and NZ bank account and we are approved for SSE workers. There is accommodation available on or near the jobsite. There is also a campsite on the beach just a short distance from the farm. This is a good opportunity to work and stay with all sorts of likeminded travellers as well as Kiwi's. Your pay rate will increase to $21.60 (including holiday pay) per hour on the 1st of April and you also will be paid for the statutory hoildays of the Easter period and ANZAC Day. In your time off there is plenty to do and see. New Zealand longest driveable beach is just a 15 minutes drive away. Inviting for fishing, surfing and exploring. The eastcoast and Whangarei is a 45 minutes drive, the same as the Kai Iwi Lakes, where you can go swimming, kajaking, walking or just hanging out, as well as the Waipoua Forest were you can meet the legendary tree giant Tane Mahuta.
