Job Offer: Counsellor / Kai?rahi – TAURANGA:Tautoko MaiJob description:Job DescriptionAbout the functionTautoko Mai is a sexual harm support service providing care to all people and communities affected by sexual harm through healing, education and avoidance. With offices located in the beautiful Bay of Plenty and Waikato We are pursuing a Counsellor / Kai?rahi to work directly with clients, from children through to adults, and their wh?nau to provide a safe, supportive environment for each client, utilising their professional knowledge and expertise to assist people who have practiced recent and/or historic sexual harm, to work towards recovery. This is a permanent function, preferably full time however this is negotiable to the right person. About you To be considered for this function you will be a registered Counsellor / Kai?rahi (or in process to become one) with aligned membership to a recognised professional body. practice working in the field of sexual harm or a related specialist sector would be advantageous, with an knowledge of trauma informed practice. Information technology is essential that you possess an knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and have the capability to conduct oneself appropriately within a bicultural context. You will have highly developed interpersonal expertise and feel comfortable relating to people from diverse walks of life. You will bring enthusiasm and a proven capability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
