As an practiced HR professional, you will align as a business partner supporting managers in the delivery of day to day operations alongside people related culture and change initiatives aimed at improving performance, lifting capcapability and connecting all areas of the business to work more effectively.
Reporting to the People Services Manager you will work closely with the business to coach, guide and advise managers on a broad range of issues across a breadth of people related services including change management, organisational development, succession planning, leadership abilities development, performance management, and employment relations. There is huge variety and stretch in this function.
You will also play a pivotal function in the continuous improvement of high-quality human resource processes, policies, and strategies which support the development and delivery of services that contribute to the prosperous achievement of the Department’s strategy H?kai Rangi.

To deliver effectively in this key function you will demonstrate the following:
   » A proven capability to proactively develop, foster and maintain excellent working partnerships and relationships with stakeholders and management at all levels
   » High level practice delivering operational people focussed services effectively and efficiently in a challenging environment
   » practice in the development and delivery of strategies aimed at continuously improving the capcapability and wellbeing of our people
   » Senior level practice in generalist HR/ER working in a complex and demanding environment.
Please be advised that this position may include regular travel within the portfolio groups to which you will be assigned. A full Driver Licence is required.
The income band for this function is between $91,953 to $129,816 depending on expertise and practice.

Covid 19 Vaccination Requirements
All people working inside prisons are required to be fully vaccinated as part of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021.Ara Poutama is currently consulting with Community Corrections on a proposed policy would require all staff working in Community Corrections to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as well. If approved, this requirement will commence on 28 April 2022.
