The function of MfE’s Policy Implementation and Delivery (PID) group is to enable policy into action on the ground. PID leads the planning and management of policy implementation, bringing together integrated partnerships iwi/M?ori, partner agencies, local government, councils, industry and the scientific community to achieve collaborative, transformational delivery of environmental reforms. To achieve this, Information technology is imperative that our teams perform in the most effective way and are supported in building capcapability and applying innovative approaches and practices from multiple disciplines, including Te Ao M?ori, behaviour change, systems thinking, systems mapping, behavioural economics, design thinking and behavioural systems.

this function is part of our recently established Systems Change & Capcapability function within the Ministry. We are focused on ensuring that work underway to implement our environmental policy and regulatory activity incorporates a multi-disciplinary approach drawing on behaviour change, systems thinking, design thinking, m?tauranga M?ori - all grounded in systems-located thinking and user-centric approaches.
This opportunity calls for a senior practitioner in our team for all aspects of Service Design, Design Thinking and user-centric processes. As a practitioner, you will be heavily involved in both the doing and the guiding of our implementation activity, supporting design approaches to uncover project, stakeholder and partner needs and pain points.Critical to your success will be your commitment to whanaungatanga and manaakitanga. You will proactively engage and consult across our implementation portfolio to offer a range of perspectives and coaching to help incorporate Service Design and Design Thinking approaches into our work at the outset, which will enable the development of effective and impactful approaches for our projects and teams, and ultimately build our service design capcapability across the Ministry.

   » You will act with a design ethos - reflecting, iterating and continually seeking better ways to deliver more significant impact whilst improving and refining your design practice.
Wh?nuitanga Utu ?-Tau | income range
income range for this function is from $105,802 to $128,424 pa. Appointment within this range will be located on expertise and practice.
