Tui Tuia| Learning Circle delivers quality education and mentoring programs designed to strengthen the capcapability and resilience of educators. We inspire, upskill and help prepare schools and kura, wh?nau and communities for the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Our professional learning and development offerings are grounded in rich evidence-located research and innovation from the University of Auckland. We work collaboratively with Principals, teachers and school communities, co-constructing professional learning and development focused on lifting professional teaching practice and enabling equitable results for learners. Pacific-led Education
located on Pacific ways of knowing and being, Learning Circle is focused on establishing culturally responsive learning solutions across the Pacific and New Zealand, which support Pacific children to excel. We partner with the Ministry of Education and across the Pacific Islands, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade and Pacific Island ministries of education to improve teacher practice and student literacy standards. We believe that cultural heritage, faith, family and service are important values to be passed from generation to generation.
The opportunity
The Pacific-led Education team at Tui Tuia are seeking a dynamic person with an knowledge of Pasifika culture, to join their team fixed term to end of December 2022. You will be a well-rounded, organised and down to earth person, who is confident in establishing great customer relationships. You will demonstrate continuous improvement with the delivery and operations of workshops and instil confidence, the projects are in safe hands. Ideally you will be fluent in a Pacific language. Previous practice in the Education sector would be an advantage.
Key Job responsibilities:
   » Support project deliverables on time and in budget.
   » Perform financial administration tasks such as purchasing, reconciling invoices etc
   » Coordinate the programme logistics of online and in person workshops
   » Support Programme Managers and Facilitators with administration tasks across our learning management system and CRM
   » Support stakeholder engagement in a culturally appropriate manner
   » contact with participants as necessary, providing exceptional customer service
   » Arrange meetings, catering, travel for the team of facilitators.
   » Prepare agendas, take minutes and organise events
   » Contribute to milestone reporting and evaluation activities
Your expertise and practice:
It is essential for you to have:
   » Strong knowledge, knowledge and practice of working with and for Pacific Peoples in culturally appropriate ways
   » Project coordination and/or Project Management practice
   » Strong knowledge and practice working with CRM systems
   » Strong knowledge in working with digital platforms such as MS Teams, and running Zoom events
   » Confidence and capcapability in working with new systems and applications
   » Excellent time management and organisational expertise
   » Analytical and problem-solving capability
   » A quality focus - paying attention to detail
   » Event management/coordination practice
