To be eligible you need:
   » A current full New Zealand Driver Licence or Restricted with the capability to sit your Full licence within the next 6 months
   » To be legally able to work fulltime in New Zealand (work visa must have a remaining period of minimum 12 months)
   » The capability to pass a full drug test and medical assessment
   » Approval of any declared convictions or conflicts of interest in conformity with the Corrections delegations policy

We are seeking for a diverse range of candidates, from different cultures with varied backgrounds and practice. You’ll then complete an eleven week initial training course. In return you’ll get opportunities for professional development, promotion and the capability to gain a qualification in offender management. Currently we have opportunities available at Northland Region Corrections Facility (NRCF) for both Part time & Full-time hours.
Northland Region Corrections Facility (NRCF) is nestled in the heart of Te Tai Tokerau. On the whenua of Ngati Rangi, NRCF has been operating since it’s establishment in 2005. The site is a temporary home for the up to 489 men who reside within the walls. NRCF is a site with a strong passion for Rehabilitation and Reintegration, as well as with a strong focus on arts, including whakairo. Established as a facility Information technology seeks to transform the approach towards caring for prisoners via the Hokai Rangi strategy, and the Maori Pathways project. This project seeks to establish a strong kaupapa Maori approach to the work that NRCF undertakes, whilst ensuring a strong focus on risk management and staff safety.
