In 1998, SCAPE Public Art began to revolutionise the open spaces of ?tautahi Christchurch - and public arts practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. SCAPE Public Art installs public art all year round, with a focus on its annual Seasons. They are the Christchurch experts in public art installation, and the SCAPE Public Art Seasons are New Zealand's premier public art events.

The function
As Executive Director you will be the public face and cheerleader of SCAPE Public Art with the objective to continue to raise the profile, consciousness, and visibility for the Trust by using your strong networks to influence corporates and individuals to support and then deliver inspirational public art seasons. You will lead the SCAPE team to concept, plan, develop, manage, research and deliver the SCAPE Public Art Seasons, Art, Learning & Wellbeing programme, and connected activities to the highest standards with focuses on; infrastructure, human resources, advocacy & innovation, education & audience Development, marketing and financial performance.

expertise and practice
Reporting to the Board of Trustees you will need to be passionate about public art, have an aspirational mindset and an capability to story tell and influence a wide variety of stakeholders. This could be an opportunity to take the next step in your career where you can utilise your capability to think strategically and build lasting relationships to engage effectively across all stakeholders, inclusive of Mana whenua.To succeed in this function, you will be a strong leader with commercial acumen and expertise to develop a sustainable funding model for the Trust. You must have a sound knowledge of contemporary fundraising and actively uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Any practice working with local government would be an advantage.
