We are pursuing a motivated Policy Analyst and Senior Policy Analyst to join our Strategy and Inquiries Policy team at MSD.

About the function / Te ?huatunga a te t?ranga
Two functions are available in our growing Strategy and Inquiries Policy Team.
The team is responsible for supporting MSD's policy response to the Waitangi Tribunal's Kaupapa Inquiry programme and MSD's response to independent Royal Commissions of Inquiry, including the inquiry into Abuse in Care.
MSD fully supports the work of the inquiries, and an important part of our mahi is to understand what lessons can be learnt from these inquiries in order to deliver stronger Te Tiriti-located policy advice that contributes to MSD's work and improves results for M?ori and communities across Aotearoa.
The team performs a range of functions to respond to the inquiries, consider proactively how MSD can respond to inquiry recommendations, and advise our Minister. The team also works collaboratively within MSD to contribute to work to build effective partnerships and community approaches that support the aspirations of M?ori. This is a function that requires strong internal and cross-agency engagement, analysis and advice provision.

We are keen to hear from a motivated Senior Policy Analyst, an practiced Policy Analyst who is ready to step up into a Senior function, or a Policy Analyst.
The core parts of the function will include:
   » providing or contributing to clear and well-reasoned advice on complex issues that
   » bringing together evidence to develop options advice and draw conclusions as appropriate
   » engaging with key internal and external stakeholders
   » working collaboratively on projects both within and across agencies
   » helping to build the capcapability of people in the team, including supporting junior staff in their work (for senior policy analyst)

income ranges:

The income range for a Policy Analyst is $75,943 – $91,931.
The income range for a Senior Policy Analyst is $109,099 – $132,455.
