Te ?hua o Te T?runga - The nature of the position

As our Project Manager Strategic Planning you will get alongside our Senior leadership abilities Team (SLT), Council, kaimahi and key stakeholders to bring out and help craft our Strategic Plan 2025-2030. To achieve this, you will utilise your broad relationship management practice and diverse project management expertise to develop, implement and coordinate the project plan.
In this function, you will get to leave a lasting mark on VSA both through supporting the development of the strategic plan and helping to embed a fit-for-purpose programme management approach at VSA. Using your diverse knowledge of project management approaches you will help us uplift our project delivery through introducing a sound approach to project management for a not-for-profit like VSA.
This is a sole charge function, reporting to our Te Tumu Whakarae - CEO.

Ng? tino P?kenga/Wheako - Essential expertise/practices for the function

VSA is seeking someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work both collaboratively and independently. You will know how to ask the right questions and are comfortable being in front of a group.
As our Project Manager Strategic Planning, you will ideally have:
   » Project and programme management expertise at a senior level and working across complex, diverse organizations.
   » practice in developing a strategic framework.
   » practice applying programme management practices & project tools in workplaces.
   » Knowledge and knowledge of Te Tiriti and working in partnerships with M?ori.
   » Cross cultural knowledge and demonstrated capability to work well across a range of Pacific countries.
To excel in this function, you will be used to working in small, agile teams and with knowledge of the not-for-profit, volunteering, and international development environments.
