This is a pivotal function driving equitable immunisation results. The Immunisation team is working hard to be an authentic Te Tiriti partner, and you will naturally apply an equity lens all over all of your work.
The Principal Advisor will be responsible for the provision of high quality, strategic and operational advice, leadership abilities, analysis, and recommendations in support of the design, delivery, and implementation of policies, priorities, service delivery, and programmes of work across the Immunisation team.
You will have a ‘can-do attitude to really make a difference in supporting the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
You will be someone who has the following:
   » A commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi and working in partnership with M?ori
   » Demonstrated practice in developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
   » capability to think critically, assimilate complex and often competing ideas logically, and write or articulate these clearly and concisely
   » practice and an interest in people leadership abilities, including coaching and motivating people to ensure they are engaged and delivering results
   » Significant practice to work effectively under pressure and when there is ambiguity
   » The confidence and availability to challenge
   » Significant practice and knowledge of the machinery of Government; and practice in the core government sector
The Ministry of Health is the kaitiaki of the health and discapability system in New Zealand.
