Job Offer: Senior Advisor:Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service CommissionJob description:Job DescriptionThe Public Service Fale is a business unit of Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission that operates to support Public Service Commissioners in 16 Pacific countries achieve their goals to strengthen public services for their citizens.» Do you have a proven track record providing practical advice in the areas of public sector reform, machinery of government, public service integrity and conduct, and/or governance? » Do you want to work with public servants in Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia to strengthen their public services? » Do you enjoy facilitating and engaging in discussions where people lgain from others’ practices and expertise? » Does your customer focus drive you to connect with people to understand their context so you can provide useful and significant support? this function is located in our Fale Service Design and Delivery team and supports Pacific Public Service Commissioners to achieve their aspirations by developing high quality advice and programmes. You are skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships of trust, confidence, and respect with stakeholders, colleagues and senior leaders in New Zealand and the Pacific. Your capability to listen deeply and build positive relationships will be key to providing our partners in the Pacific with advice and support that is appropriate to their diverse political, legislative, cultural, and historical contexts. Drawing on your expertise and practice, you will scope, design, and deliver appropriate solutions to public sector challenges in the Pacific, using New Zealand and Pacific skills. You are skilled in researching and designing user friendly information and advice on topics such as public sector reform, machinery of government, public service integrity and conduct, and/or governance. You enjoy bringing people together (virtually and in person) to share expertise and skills to build public servant capcapability. We are seeking for recognised performers who are customer focussed and have effective planning and organisational skills in a results-focused environment. You will function model best practice by facilitating and delivering high quality, culturally appropriate and co-designed advice and solutions. This position usually pays between $99,200 to $116,700 depending on skills and practice. You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this job and be open to travelling to the Pacific for work.
