Many children and young people live in families where it’s a struggle to meet everyday needs. Evidence shows that the practice of poverty, especially when that practice is severe and persistent, can have a negative impact on the lives of children.
We’re looking for a Senior Change & Benefits Manager to join our Wellington-located team, working on a project that will improve measurement of child poverty for a fixed term until June 2022 with the possibility of extension.
This large and exciting piece of work will deliver a rich poverty data set to New Zealanders that can drive political accountcapability and encourage a greater focus on action to reduce child poverty.
You will provide strategic advice at both the investment portfolio and enterprise levels, as well as the tactical, hands-on delivery support for the project change initiatives. As a Senior Change & Benefits Manager, you’ll work with and support business groups, organisations, and external stakeholders and customers on change initiatives. You’ll be responsible for analysing, planning, implementing and evaluating change strategies, facilitating a collaborative approach to change across the organisation and by providing the advice, support and services, you will help the organisation effectively implement and adopt the change.
You’ll take a proactive and adaptable approach, championing the change through building consciousness and knowledge of the impacts including the benefits Information technology will deliver for the organisation, as well as mentoring other change and benefit professionals and being an active member of the Community of Practice.

income $107,025 – $140,000 negotiable depending on practice

Ideally, you’ll have sound change management practice or at least five years of transferable practice in a related discipline. You’re cool, calm, and collected in the face of uncertainty, take a pragmatic approach, and stay resilient all over the life of an initiative. Most importantly, you’re a great fit for our team and the way we work to support our people.
   » An inclusive and collaborative style and the desire to delight your customers.
   » Minimum of five years’ professional practice, with proven practice in planning and managing a range of business change activities.
   » Good knowledge and application of significant change management techniques, with certification in change management (Prosci, CMI accreditation, APMG) and benefits management desirable.
   » Demonstrated capability to see the “big picture” and understand the strategic context of projects and change.
   » Proven decision-making practice and leadership abilities demonstrated in co-ordinating and integrating change.
   » The capability to cope with pressure.
   » Knowledge/familiarity or a commitment to learning/knowledge Te Ao M?ori, in order to understand and contribute significant work and results for M?ori communities.
