The System Strategy and Policy Directorate works closely with Ministers and Cabinet to provide high quality health advice to inform the decisions they make on behalf of the Government. expertise of the health and discapability sector is an asset but not essential. We are pursuing two practiced policy people leaders who want to work alongside their teams, a mentor who nurtures future talent and a colleague who enjoys working within a diverse group of policy leaders to provide system solutions. You are accountable, with a track record of formulating high quality policy advice yourself as well as through others. Your deep policy background as opposed to a purely clinical background will see you succeed in these functions. As an existing Policy Manager or practiced Principal Policy Analyst looking for the next career step, you will be able to demonstrate significant practice in the delivery of a broad range of policy advice across complex work programmes that is fit for purpose as well as stakeholder management at senior levels and excellent written and verbal communication expertise. You will take accountcapability and action on challenges, working collaboratively with others and you are all about making a positive contribution to the Ministry’s leadership abilities teams.
