We will fill Whang?rei CBD with an explosion of creative activity and make a splash that no one can ignore. This festival is run by creatives, for creatives. We work hard to keep costs minimal for artists: registration fees and venue costs are low, all earnings from ticket sales goes directly to the artists, and we provide technical support and mentoring. Are you ready? Let's get weird! Registrations are now open for the 2021 Whang?rei Fringe Festival. We are inviting performers, theatre-makers, comedians, drag artists, digital and visual artists and everything in between to register their works and ideas before August 1st. Do you have: » A new performance work that is in development and needs a deadline? » A finished work that you'd like to share with Whang?rei audiences? » Some original music that needs an outing? » A creative workshop idea? » A visual or digital arts project? We are open to all creative ideas, big or small and will work hard to support both local and visiting artists to find an appropriate venue, reduce costs and reach large audiences.
