At the National Library, we support reading engagement and learning in schools and kura by providing knowledge, skills, support and access to a wide variety of learning and reading resources and services. We are currently on a path to improve the reach and impact of our services and strengthen our support for new priorities and for communities of high need. We are seeking for an exceptional people leader who can lead the team responsible for our programme of work to develop and deliver online content and services, providing quality digital resources and supporting the practice of students, educators and librarians. The Team Leader Online Services is a skilled people and operational leader who will lead the team to transition prosperously in times of change, building a positive and high performing team culture and contributing across teams to achieve the vision of leading the system-wide improvement of library services for young people. This is a key service development function in a time of transformational change and requires exceptional online development, collaboration and team leadership abilities skills. The Team Leader Online Services for Schools will be an practiced people and operational leader who has: » Demonstrated prosperous practice in developing and delivering online products and services. in a library and /or education setting. •broad practice in managing people and resources in a service development context. •practice in programmes of work developing online services using project methodology (Agile or similar). •Significant practice/knowledge of managing website development and service delivery approaches. •Demonstrated success in building staff skills in online service development and delivery. •practiced in e-facilitation. •Up to date knowledge of trends and developments in web-located service delivery. •Up to date knowledge and knowledge of information management and access systems and digital developments supporting learning. •Knowledge of New Zealand learning environments, schooling systems and structures, including those supporting M?ori learners.
