Summary/Whakar?popoto
Joining a highly skilled and passionate team that shares a strong sense of social justice, you'll work in partnership with other agencies in the housing and health space to support people to access and sustain housing. You will work closely with mental health clinical teams and other agencies to assess housing and support needs for people who are often living with intergenerational challenges, mental health, addiction, and trauma issues. The function/Te Tuunga
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm. The function is located in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa and will involve work and travel across the Waikato Region.
this function will involve working within the Ahik?roa housing service. The community housing-located service has a strong focus on collaborating with other services to support recovery, wellness and housing stcapability. this function is suited to a registered heath professional, such as an occupational therapist, social worker, mental health nurse or AoD Practitioner who would like to use their professional expertise in a transferable way, to make a difference in the housing space.
In this function you will work closely with key stakeholders to:
– Review and coordinate housing referrals using a wh?nau centred approach
– Undertake assessments and reviews focused on people's wellbeing and housing needs
– Build enduring relationships with the people you support and work with them to minimise any barriers to housing or housing stcapability
– Work in partnership with other agencies working in the housing and health space, to support people to access housing and sustain their housing.
– Identify on-going support and safety needs and wrap around plans for people in social housing to help them progress their living situation in line with their goals and aspirations
– Provide clinical guidance, oversight and support to the team you work with

We'd love to hear from registered health professionals who have practice in the mental health and social sectors.
A confident communicator and relationship builder, you'll quickly build credibility while showcasing your sound problem solving and conflict resolution expertise. Your capability to work at pace and flourish under pressure will be complemented by excellent attention to detail, proficiency in record keeping and exceptional capability to organise and coordinate multiple tasks. You'll have expertise of and demonstrate utmost commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi principles and working with M?ori. You will require a current practicing certificate for this function. A full New Zealand driving license is also essential. practice with residential services or housing is also preferred.
The Covid-19 Public Health (Vaccination) Order requires the full vaccination of anyone conducting high-risk work in the health and discapability sector, or who does not necessarily provide a health service but works in a function that requires frequent contact/engagement with those who do. Therefore, all workers within the Wise Group are required by the Order to be vaccinated.
