If you are ready for a new challenge, have proven accounting practice and are keen to join South Waikato District Council, then this exciting function is for you.Te ?heinga: The opportunity We are seeking for an adjunct Accountant to join our financial services team and assist with the efficient day-to-day operations of our accounting services. In particular, assets, insurance, loans and reserves. This will include, but is not limited to, working with the general ledger, reconciliations, reporting, maintaining the fixed asset register, processing new loans and loan repayments, and providing backup and support to the wider team. He k?rero m?u: About you Our ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, or be working towards one, and be able to demonstrate practice in computerised accounting systems and Microsoft tools. You will have a high level of accuracy, numerical expertise and attention to detail. Multitasking and being able to manage a varied workload is essential, along with the capability to meet deadlines. You will have effective communication expertise and be able to work as part of a team but also take responsibility for your individual tasks. Don’t miss out!
